How to build an Internet website

There are several ways of building or creating a website for free. Website design can be expensive but with the right tools and resources, you can design an Internet site yourself for free.

On this hub, I will be giving tips on how you can create your own website with readily available resources that cost little to nothing. This hub is associated with my blog on how to build an Internet site where I share more internet website design tutorials, tips and articles.

 Depending on your needs, there are several ways you can create a website without spending money. You would avoid spending money if you already have some technical knowledge though on how to install ready made websites, content management systems and scripts. Even then, you would still need website hosting which rarely if ever, comes free.

The following are some of the ways you can create a free web site using open source software that you do not need to pay anything for.

1. Use of free content management systems: Content management systems are usually available free and can be downloaded from their host website and installed on most servers. Usually, these open source website building content management systems are built by the public and so they have lots of good functionalities you need for your website. 2. Use of free GNU Scripts: There are several free scripts available especially for making forums and blogs. While wordpress remains the best content management system for building blogs and websites, there are other competitors like Drupal and Joomla that take a significant market share.
